The wartime leader is facing repeated threats from the Kremlin, and now has to deal with the overly-sensitive Trump and Vance too

The latest Russian missile attacks on Ukraine were timed precisely to grab attention in the countdown to today’s Brussels summit.
Half of the eight people killed in the 112-strong missile onslaught died in President Volodymyr Zelensky’s home town of Kryvyi Rih, in central Ukraine.
Not only is he under physical attack from the Kremlin but he is also fighting off daily taunts and insults from US President Donald Trump.
Now, the US government has cut off military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine, even as Ukrainian civilians are blasted to death by Kremlin missiles.
How hollow are Trump’s claims that he only wants peace and for the dying to stop, given that all of his demands and offers of peace are caveated in such a way the war cannot be over for Kyiv.
It is only days since that infamous Oval Office spat in which Zelensky was bullied by Trump and his deputy loudmouth Vice President JD Vance.
